Electrical problem

One night my headlights began flickering slightly sitting at a red traffic light behind another car. Also, a few weeks prior, my turn signals began blinking less frequently. I checked all the electrical connections and decided to install a spare alternator I had to see if that would fix it.

Just as I suspected it fixed the problem. There was an added benefit: I have been trying to figure out why my car seemed louder above 3500 RPM and suspected an exhaust issue. It turned out to be the alternator! When I pulled the bad one out, it sounded fine when I spun it. I cracked it open and found two of the diode wires had separated. After a quick soldering job it is ready to sit on my spares shelf.
